| Williams, Byron Byron Williams grew up in Texarkana, Texas. He received a football scholarship to UT Arlington and was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 1983 before joining the New York Giants later that season. Williams played wide receiver for a total of 12 seasons in the NFL, CFL and World League. Williams currently serves on the UTA Advisory Board & UTA Alumni Board, BS Degree Bus. Mgmt. He also serves as an Elder at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas and serves with several ministries at CBC. Williams is passionate about giving back to local communities and has been hosting and directing football camps for over 23 years. He is the founder and owner of Football Minicamps. He was the first athlete to be inducted into his High School Hall of Honor in 2011, and received the NFL Unsung Athletic Award 2012 in Community Outreach and Youth Development. The City of Texarkana honored him in the 2016 Fox Sports Hall of Fame. He was a Texas Black Sports Hall of Fame Inductee 2017, and was honored at the University of Texas at Arlington 2017 African-American Alumni Outstanding Achievement Awards. Williams served as president of the NFLPA Dallas Chapter from 2012 – 2017, with a mission to be players-focused, family-driven, and community-serving. Williams married his High School sweetheart, Beverly — they have been married for 33 years and they have two daughters; Brandy K. and Blair K. His hobbies are mentoring, hosting football camps, golf and motivational speaking. |

Author Terry “The Warrior” Reece began writing as a hobby in 1987. He wrote a line of books suitable for video games, films and animation. As he watched his 2-year-old playing the Super Mario video game, Reece realized that children could also learn other skills as they played. The Closet Cove first emerged as a poem he published in 1990. Reece began writing his Closet Cove stories as a magical place for children to visit when they wanted to escape the crazy world of adults. When Reece was a child, he was bullied and sought escape in his favorite hiding place, through the closet door that led up to the attic, which he called The Closet Cove. The prolific author grew up in Texarkana and now lives in Detroit. A 2002 Distinguished Poet of Merit Award winner, Reece is an internationally recognized poet and author.
