— NAWBO NEWS —   NAWBO and AARP Partner on Scholarships for Women of Color For the second year, NAWBO is offering scholarships for women of color to attend or host a virtual exhibit during the National Women’s Business Conference through the Minority Owned Women’s Business “Power Your Dream” Scholarship sponsored by AARP. All recipients will also receive a one-year NAWBO membership (non-members) or Leadership Academy registration (members), plus be invited to closed roundtable discussions at the conference. The deadline to apply is August 26th.
Learn more about this year’s conference here. ______________________   Apply for the 2021 BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program BMO Harris Bank, a partner of NAWBO Chicago, has announced a grant opportunity that is open to women business owners in the following states: Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri and Wisconsin. The BMO Celebrating Women Grant Program is open to applicants through August 13th. $200,000 in grants will be awarded to 26 women-owned businesses across North America for their contribution to social, environmental and/or economic sustainability outcomes through their organizations’ policies, practices or products.
