Recognizing Upcoming ObservancesIn addition to Pride Month, in June we also honor Juneteenth – a cornerstone in the fight for freedom and equality for all. Celebrating Juneteenth and other upcoming observances can be key to how we encourage more empathy and inclusion, foster more active allyship and acknowledge the intersectionality of our colleagues and the communities we serve.CEO Action Mentoring InitiativeOur CEO Action Mentoring Initiative learning sessions continue to be available to all delegates – even if you’re not officially participating in the Mentoring Initiative. Sign up for the learning sessions to hear from leaders on topics that foster organizational growth, such as business acumen, coaching skills and psychological safety. Registration is open for the next session on June 12, which will explore how to build a coaching mindset and how to model those behaviors as leaders. If you know a peer or leader who would be a good fit, submit your nominations today.CEO Action for Racial Equity May 25 marks the three-year anniversary of George Floyd’s murder that ignited calls for societal change and spurred the launch of CEO Action for Racial Equity (CEOARE). Signatories from across industries and regions joined our fellowship, recognizing the opportunity – and responsibility – for the business community to play an active role in addressing societal systemic racism. As detailed in the fellowship’s 2023 Focus Report, our mission remains more critical than ever before. We’re excited to welcome new fellows on an ongoing basis to not only sustain the effort to help dismantle societal racial disparities, but also to expand opportunities for top talent to share their passions and professional experience. With our new engagement model, signatories can participate and advocate for our work in a number of ways. CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion™ was co-founded in 2017 on a shared belief that diversity, equity and inclusion is a societal issue, and that collaboration and bold action from the business community – especially CEOs – is vital to driving change at scale.
CEO Action is now the largest business-led initiative to advance DEI in the workplace, with more than 2,400 CEOs having pledged to create more inclusive cultures while not being afraid of having difficult conversations about diversity, equity and inclusion.
The coalition provides a variety of tools, resources, events and thought-leadership opportunities to support business leaders in taking action and driving progress to advance progress.
By convening leaders across industries, our signatories have the opportunity to learn from and challenge one another. We are sharing our Actions Database of more than 1,900 actionable insights, and our Strategy Driver tools and resources with one another to drive change at scale.
CEO Action is helping to build greater understanding and creating workplaces and communities that better reflect the diversity of our society. Together, we will move beyond incremental change to build a more just and equitable world.
CEO Action for Racial Equity
Our CEO Action for Racial Equity Fellowship unites the talent and resources of more than 100 signatory organizations to advance racial equity through public policy. We are responding to today’s most urgent disparities impacting Black Americans countrywide. The Fellowship revolves around four platforms that are vital to advancing equity and well-being: economic empowerment, education and opportunity, healthy communities, and public safety.
