Exciting Update: Aptera Accelerator Program Now Extended
Only 1,500 priority spots left in the Accelerator ProgramAn integral part of our success has always been our movement of forward-thinking people who share our collective vision of a future that runs on sunshine. There’s no better example of this than the pioneers who have made the move to accelerate the production of our solar electric vehicles through the Accelerator Program. Through the program, we’ve now raised close to $8 million toward production tooling and validation from 544 investors around the world. Here are a few updates about the program: To enable more trailblazers to join the program and continue to change the world through solar mobility, we will continue to accept investments beyond the original deadline of March 26, 2023. Now anyone who invests $10,000 or more will join us as an Aptera Accelerator and be one of the first 2,000 people to take delivery of their very own Aptera. The cap remains at 2,000 slots ranked by investment amount, but now anyone who has invested $10,000 or more on or after January 27th, 2023 will be guaranteed priority delivery of their vehicle. Don’t miss out! There are less than 1,500 spots left.
Get an exclusive and unique Aptera as part of the Accelerator ProgramAs part of the Accelerator Program, the first 2,000 vehicles include commemorative and serialized markings on the driver’s side B-pillar and rear hatch opening area. Additionally, each Accelerator will receive a serialized book that is numbered to match their vehicle and signed by Aptera’s co-founders. Watch our March Update to get a sneak peek of how we’re making the first 2,000 vehicles distinctive and rare.
Aptera is awarded a $21 million grant from the California Energy CommissionWe’re delighted to announce that we have secured a $21 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) for the manufacture of our solar electric vehicle. With the support of the CEC, we will scale up and speedily bring to mass market the Aptera vehicle and component manufacturing in California. We’ll be putting those funds to work to purchase tooling and equipment as part of this reimbursable grant to further our production readiness. Read more about how Aptera and the CEC are working together towards the state’s goals of a 100 percent clean energy future.
Introducing Launch ModeAptera’s Powertrain intern, Bastian Mager, is here to tell you all about our production vehicle control unit (VCU) and the exciting features we’ve added, including Launch Mode. Learn how our pedal mapping has been vastly improved and we have added a smooth transition from forward to reverse under 5 mph.
Meet the Accelerators of Solar MobilityMeet Alex and Marie: a husband and wife who took the leap to becoming Aptera Accelerators as their way of contributing to the green revolution in a meaningful way. As WWII baby boomers, Alex told Aptera, “We don’t want to wait any longer to set an example for how to help heal our planet, so the Accelerator movement is particularly important to us. Thanks to all of you at Aptera Motor Corp for making such an innovative vehicle a reality.”

We’re gearing up for production.
A lot is happening at Aptera right now as we prepare for production. This week, we’re thrilled to announce we’ve achieved an incredible milestone. With the support of the trailblazers that have joined our Accelerator Program, we began cutting the production tools that will forge Aptera’s six body parts in C.P.C. Group’s tooling facility in Modena, Italy. This process involves designing Aptera’s parts and the tooling, machining that tooling, and then eventually operating the tooling in presses to forge Aptera’s parts. The tools below symbolize a huge step toward bringing solar mobility to the masses. Can you tell which tools will forge the various body structures of Aptera?
