A Master Plan for the Historic Westside African American Museum and Cultural Arts Center is Moving Forward! On Wednesday, Nov. 16, the Las Vegas City Council approved a contract with Gallagher & Associates LLC to develop a master plan for the African American Museum and Cultural Center in the Historic Westside. Gallagher & Associates has also developed the International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., The Mob Museum in Las Vegas, the National World War II Museum and the National Museum of African American Music, among others. The specific scope of services for the master plan includes: An analysis of the arts and culture environment Community and stakeholder engagement Content strategy for the museum Establishment of a vision for the cultural center and how it will integrate into the museum Operational and financial plan Fundraising strategy Implementation approach The final master plan will be completed next year.
